Why It Matters

It is a fixed-capacity business, so occupancy against capacity is the whole read, and how peaked that occupancy is matters as much as its average. Ask for it week by week: a facility that fills at Christmas and Thanksgiving and sits half empty in February is earning its year in a handful of weeks, which is a staffing problem and a cash-flow problem at once. Steady midweek daycare is what smooths it.
