Pest Control Term

Recurring route revenue

Definition

The share of revenue from scheduled repeat contracts, not one-time treatments.

Why It Matters

Recurring routes are what earn this trade its multiple. A book that is mostly contracted recurring revenue is more valuable and more financeable than one living on one-off calls, because a lender can see the same money arriving next quarter. Ask for the split, the average contract age, and the cancellation rate, and confirm the contracts transfer without each customer signing again. A high one-off share is not fatal, it is a lower multiple and a harder loan.
