The pesticide label's own ban on treating in conditions the weather decides.

Why It Matters

A pesticide label is enforceable law, so the sentence on it stops the truck. A common soil termiticide forbids treating ground that is water saturated or frozen, or where runoff will occur, and the same label blacks out one general pest use in California on any date between the first of November and the end of February. Termite and soil work is often the best margin on the book, so that is a real seasonal dip to underwrite instead of a number to explain away. And the re-entry interval everybody quotes does not reach this work: on the label it sits under the agricultural requirements, while ordinary structural jobs carry only a wait until the spray is dry.
