Pressure Washing Term

Wash water capture

Definition

Catching and disposing of the runoff a job produces, which many commercial sites require.

Why It Matters

Stormwater rules make the wash water a regulated discharge on a lot of commercial work, so a contractor without the recovery equipment and a disposal arrangement is quietly limited to residential jobs and to clients who have not asked yet. That is a ceiling on the book rather than a fine waiting to happen. Ask what recovery gear is owned, where the water goes, and which current customers require documentation of it.
