Definition

A job the crew sold at the door carries the full cancellation notice and no exclusion at all.

Why It Matters

The two exclusions a crew could use, the emergency call and the repair visit, both open with the buyer having initiated the contact, so a sale the crew solicited forecloses both at once. The rule switches on at twenty five dollars where the sale is made at a residence and a hundred and thirty dollars everywhere else it reaches, and it names the customer's workplace as one of those places. What is owed is the whole apparatus: three business days, the boldface statement beside the signature line, and the notice of cancellation in duplicate. North Carolina makes a willful failure to hand over the paperwork a Class 3 misdemeanor, and adds a second one for failing to refund within ten business days. Where no form was given an oral cancellation is good, which removes the shelter of nothing having arrived in writing.
