Snow revenue
Definition
Winter work that fills a seasonal gap, priced per event or on a seasonal contract.
Why It Matters
In a northern market it can be a third of the year's revenue and it behaves nothing like the rest: per-event pricing makes the year a weather bet, while a seasonal contract is paid whether it snows or not. Which one the book uses changes both the risk and the value. Ask for five winters of snow revenue against snowfall, because two mild years in a row can make a per-event book look like a business in decline when it is a business in a warm spell.
