Landscaping Term

Route density

Definition

How tightly the accounts cluster, which decides whether crews spend the day working or driving.

Why It Matters

Density is the core economic variable here, and two books of equal revenue price very differently when one is compact and the other scattered, because drive time is a cost nobody bills. Map the accounts before you value them rather than trusting a revenue figure, and look at what a single crew covers in a day. A scattered book is not worthless, it is a different plan: either it fills in over time or the outliers are shed deliberately.
