Water reclaim

Definition

Equipment that recovers and reuses wash water, cutting the sewer bill and often required.

Why It Matters

Water and sewer is one of the three cost lines a wash cannot escape, and a site without reclaim is paying full municipal rates on every car while running the risk that the next permit renewal requires the system anyway. That is a capital number rather than an operating one. Ask what water and sewer runs per car, whether reclaim is installed, and what the local authority has told any operator nearby.
