RocketReach

At a Glance

The finding half of proprietary outreach, priced and metered on its own page. Bring the list; it supplies the person, and cross-check what it returns before you write.

Pricing
Subscription, Published on its own pricing page, billed annually: Essentials at $33 a month ($399 a year, email only), Pro at $75 a month ($899 a year, email and phone), Ultimate at $142 a month ($1,699 a year); team plans from $6,000 a year. Monthly billing, from the vendor's own plan endpoint: Essentials $69 for 100 lookups, Pro $119 for 250, Ultimate $209 for 1,000. A free account carries 5 lookups with no card. The unit is defined on the page: a lookup is charged only when it finds and verifies an email or phone, and refunded otherwise; annual plans call lookups unlimited under a 10,000-a-month cap, and exports are the real annual meter at 1,200, 3,600 and 20,000 by tier.
Best For
A searcher who already holds a company list and needs the owner's direct email and mobile number to write and call, especially where a gatekeeper will not put a call through

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Price and unit are both published, with a refund on any lookup that returns nothing verified
  • Person-level lookup returning mobile and direct numbers from the Pro tier up, which is the thing searchers ask for when a switchboard will not connect them
  • A free account with 5 lookups and no card, and monthly billing with no annual commitment
  • Named more often than any other contact tool in Searchfunder threads, by searchers describing their own sourcing stacks

Cons

  • It finds a person and cannot build the list, so it presumes a target universe from a state filing or a library database
  • Unlimited means lookups only: exports are capped low on the entry tier, and five features draw on the same export meter
  • Phone numbers start at the Pro tier, so the entry tier is email only
  • Searchers call it pricey and report dead emails they cross-check elsewhere before writing

What Searchers Say

Named by searchers on Searchfunder in their own words: "For contact info I used a combination of RocketReach and freelancers on Upwork to find/scrub"; a searcher describing two closed acquisitions listed it among the minor costs of proprietary sourcing; another wrote "We have come across Rocketreach but they are very pricey"; another advised to "Use RocketReach and cross-check results with other sources to avoid dead emails." The praise and the complaints are the same tool seen from both sides.
