What a center actually collects for the average visit, read by payer, which outranks the visit count.

Why It Matters

Two centers with the same visits per day can earn very different money, because an in-network commercial visit pays far better than a Medicaid or self-pay one. Compute it as net collections divided by visits, by payer and by month, and read the trend against the payer mix: a center growing volume through Medicaid or self-pay is growing its way into a thinner margin. The number also prices the occupational-health layer, which is worth reading separately since employer-paid visits collect in full and on time.
