Resetting the camera behind a new windshield, now required on most late-model cars.

Why It Matters

It has changed the economics of the trade in a few years: the job now carries a second billable operation, needs a level bay and a target board, and carries real liability if the lane-keeping system is left wrong. A shop that subcontracts every recalibration is handing away the margin and the control. Ask what share of jobs need one, whether it is done in house, and what the insurers on the panel pay for it.
