Why It Matters

Class ratio caps how many children one teacher can hold and teachers are the binding constraint, because a certified swim instructor cannot be hired on a week's notice and the pool sits half empty while you look. A school that trains its own has a supply nobody else in town has. Ask how instructors are certified, how long training takes, how many are in it now, and what turnover ran last year.
