Junk Removal Term

Route density

Definition

How tightly a hauler's jobs cluster, counted in stops per driving day, not in revenue.

Why It Matters

Profit here is made in the miles not driven, so a dense metro book earns more than the same revenue spread across a county, and the difference does not show up anywhere in a revenue line. Map the jobs before agreeing a price. Ask how many stops a truck makes on a good day and on an average one, because the gap between those two numbers is the scheduling problem you would be buying.
