Why It Matters

It is the asset nobody prices and the liability everybody inherits. Where a licensed business is discontinued and succeeded by a new licensee, the records go to the SUCCESSOR and not to the agency, and the buyer becomes responsible for them from that moment. Before commencing or continuing the business the new dealer must inventory the firearms possessed and record them in that same book. A book that does not reconcile to the shelf is the first thing an inspection finds and the last thing a seller mentions.
