Maintenance agreement

A recurring contract under which a customer pays for scheduled seasonal service, giving the shop predictable revenue and the first call when equipment fails or needs replacing.

Maintenance agreements are the recurring, higher-margin core beneath the lumpy install business, and their count and renewal rate are much of what separates a 2x shop from a 4x one.
