Security Guard Term
Immediate production of records
Definition
The rule that records must be in the state and handed over on the day they are asked for.
Why It Matters
Florida requires a licensee's records to be maintained IN THE STATE for two years at the principal place of business, and on request they must be made available immediately unless the department grants an extension, with subpoena power behind the request. Employment and termination of any licensed officer is reported within fifteen calendar days, with the reason on a termination. A company license cannot be assigned or transferred in Washington without the director's prior written approval, and in Florida a change of partners or officers must be filed within five working days, with the agency's good standing contingent on the department approving them.
