Service attach rate

The share of transactions in which a customer buys higher-margin service alongside a commodity product, most visibly the mechanical work a tire shop sells on top of the tires.

In tire and parts retail it is the single biggest lever on both margin and valuation, since the tires draw the traffic but the attached service is where the profit lives.
