Direct repair program (DRP)

An arrangement in which an auto insurer steers collision claims to a body shop in exchange for negotiated labor rates, parts terms, and cycle-time performance scorecards.

It is the referral pipeline of a collision business and its biggest concentration risk: a shop leaning on one insurer's program lives or dies by that insurer's next rate change.
