Guild Garage Group
The Firm
Guild Garage Group formed in 2024 as an alliance of residential garage door service companies focused on replacement, repair and installation, pitching owners that it does not operate as a traditional private equity firm: owners join and keep operating. It reached its tenth partnership within the first year and announces each one on its own site, dated. In April 2026 the alliance itself took private equity capital. Oak Hill Capital announced a partnership with Guild, by then 28 local brands across 30 states run from Orlando, as the tenth investment of its sixth fund, with management and local brand operators staying on as significant owners. Reuters reported the price at more than $800 million, on a company that did not exist three years earlier.
What it buys is precisely what a searcher in this trade shortlists: PDQ Doors of Cincinnati, a family company; Hunter Door of Moorestown, New Jersey, founded in 1969 and family-run for five decades; Garage Pros KC in Kansas City. Bolt-ons also run through its brands, as when Right Way Garage Doors, already a Guild company, acquired Aaron Overhead Doors.
Beside GarageCo this makes garage doors a two-platform trade, which changes the read of any listing. A market that looks local and fragmented has two funded buyers working it steadily, both courting the same retiring owners, and Guild says it is actively looking for leading companies across the country.
Read again in September 2026: nothing since Hunter Door, sixteen months on, while its partnership page still invites owners. The whole newsroom opened that evening added nine partnerships from 2024 and 2025, one of them an acquisition by a Guild brand, and a Salt Lake City company that joined eight existing brands, so three early partners were never posted; nothing since May 2025. The brands page read that night carries twenty-eight logos with no names or dates against twelve partnerships announced. Sixteen brands joined without a post, and two of the eight the September 2024 release counted were never announced either.
