The Firm
It publishes its portfolio as nineteen brands, each carrying a line reading Year of Flint Group Investment with a year beside it, running from 1901-founded Wolfer's in Portland taken in 2019 to two purchases labeled 2026. The businesses keep their own names, their own sites and their own phone numbers. Its own pages talk about preserving the legacies and distinct cultures of the companies it invests in while the network supplies shared resources. Nothing on the site describes renaming anything.
The dating is the reader's problem as much as this registry's, and it is worth stating plainly. The portfolio label is a YEAR and nothing narrower, so a seller cannot tell a January purchase from a December one. Only one purchase carries a dated announcement the buying side issued, which is the deal below. A second release from February 2020 uses the verb invests in rather than acquires, and that company no longer appears on the portfolio page at all. A 2026 purchase in Fort Lauderdale was announced by the SELLER'S OWN ADVISOR rather than by the buyer, with the chief executive quoted inside somebody else's release.
Who is behind it is a fact a seller taking this call should have first. Its chairman founded Skylight Capital, a Seattle micro-cap firm whose own investments page lists Flint Group among its holdings, and the two publish the same telephone number. Five of the companies Skylight names are the same companies Flint's own releases name. Skylight is not a separate row here and the reason is its own site. It has issued no dated acquisition announcement anywhere. Every year printed beside its holdings is the TARGET's founding year rather than a purchase date, and nothing on the domain has been updated since 2022 under a 2019 copyright line.
