Belt progression
Definition
The ranked advancement system that structures a student's years in the school.
Why It Matters
The belt ladder is the trade's retention engine: visible ranks, scheduled testing, and a multi-year path that gives a family a reason to stay through every plateau, with testing fees a revenue line of their own. Read average student tenure and the distribution across ranks, because a school whose students cluster at white belt is churning its front door, while depth through the middle ranks is the compounding book, and the black-belt club is where the trade's long lifetime values actually live.
