The daily record of prearranged rides that has to be in the car whenever the chauffeur is.

Why It Matters

Prearranged basis names the rule and stops there. This is what proves a given ride was prearranged, and where the proof has to sit. Washington requires a chauffeur to have the manifest in their possession to operate at all, available for immediate examination: inside the limousine when the chauffeur is inside it, carried by the chauffeur when they are not. The sentence a buyer underwrites is the next one. On the sale or transfer of a limousine carrier business the records transfer to the new owner and become the new owner's responsibility, retained for at least a year after the sale. So you inherit an enforcement exposure for rides you did not run, and a seller with thin manifests is a seller whose prearranged revenue split is an assertion.
