Valsoft Corporation is a Montreal holding company founded in 2015 by Sam Youssef that acquires and operates vertical-market software businesses, the mission-critical tools for a specific industry rather than broad horizontal apps. It now spans more than thirty vertical markets with a presence in over twenty countries, and it has been the most active strategic SaaS buyer in the market for two years running, closing sixteen acquisitions in 2025 alone.
Its model is permanent-hold: Valsoft states it has no predefined investment horizon and instead buys, holds, and builds value through long-term partnerships with the management teams it acquires, letting each company keep its own brand and entrepreneurial character.
