Banyan Software is an Atlanta holding company founded in 2016 that acquires and operates enterprise software businesses serving vertical markets, the specialized tools a single industry runs on rather than broad horizontal apps. It backs its purchases with permanent capital and states a buy, hold, and grow for life strategy, and its own site now counts more than four thousand employees across nineteen countries.
Its pitch to a selling founder is legacy preservation: Banyan says it works with owners planning an exit or transition while keeping the businesses they built intact, and its permanent-capital base means no fund clock forces a later resale. That makes it, like Valsoft, a buyer that does not flip, which matters to a founder weighing where a business ends up.

Its 2026 deals ran from a Spanish public-sector payroll system to an Australian grocery point-of-sale platform to a German eHealth billing tool, a spread that shows the founder-scale, mission-critical software it collects across trades.
