Suntex Marinas

The Firm

Suntex describes itself in its own releases as the nation's premier owner and operator of recreational marina properties, working with an institutional capital partner, and its own boilerplate narrows what that means: it engages in the ownership and management of marina PROPERTIES.

The distinction is the whole of what a marina owner needs to know before the first call, and one of its own releases spells it out. On the Shalimar purchase the sellers stayed on the water: the release says the exceptional maritime service and hospitality that define the marina will continue, with the former owners operating an independent sales and service business at the marina under their own name. The slips changed hands and the boatyard did not.

So the exit here is partial by design. A marina that is mostly slips and storage has a buyer; a marina whose earnings are repair, haul-out and brokerage is selling two businesses and only one of them to this firm.

What It Buys

Dallas, Texas. A national marina owner-operator that buys the property and the dockage and leaves the service side behind, so a seller keeps the boatyard and becomes a tenant.

Confirmed Deals

1 deal traced to announcements by Suntex Marinas, 2026, newest first. Firms that announce every deal show a fuller run here than firms that report acquisitions as quarterly counts, so read this as the evidence that clears the bar rather than as the firm's whole record.

  • Two Georges Marina · January 21, 2026

A Shalimar, Florida marina rebranded as Shalimar Harbor Marina, whose owners stayed on running the service side.

No second firm is confirmed in this trade from a primary source. That is the edge of the evidence, not proof the field is clear: Buyers lists which trades rest on a single confirmed firm and why.
