Suntex describes itself in its own releases as the nation's premier owner and operator of recreational marina properties, working with an institutional capital partner, and its own boilerplate narrows what that means: it engages in the ownership and management of marina PROPERTIES.

On the Shalimar purchase the sellers stayed on the water: the release says the exceptional maritime service and hospitality that define the marina will continue, with the former owners operating an independent sales and service business at the marina under their own name. The slips changed hands and the boatyard did not.
