SRM Concrete
The Firm
SRM buys ready-mix plants across the country and, in 2022 and 2023, bought the trucking that feeds them. Its release on Wells Hauling of Pembroke, Georgia says outright that it was the third transportation company the firm had acquired that year.
The Gilliam Contracting purchase is the clearest picture of what an aggregate hauler is worth to a strategic buyer: dump trucks, tractors, aggregate trailers, a fleet maintenance shop and twenty-four people, bought as a unit in Woodway, Texas.
For a searcher the reading is that the buyer of a dump truck fleet may not be a private equity platform at all. It is often the producer whose material the fleet already hauls, which changes who to talk to at exit and what the fleet is worth to them.
What It Buys
Smyrna, Tennessee. The largest privately owned ready-mix concrete producer in the United States, which buys the hauling companies that move its materials as well as the plants that make them.

Confirmed Deals
2 deals traced to announcements by SRM Concrete, 2022 to 2023, newest first. Firms that announce every deal show a fuller run here than firms that report acquisitions as quarterly counts, so read this as the evidence that clears the bar rather than as the firm's whole record.
Nothing newer has cleared the bar in 34 months, against a registry whose newest confirmed deal is July 28, 2026. A gap past 12 months can mean the firm has slowed, or that it has stopped announcing; treat it as a prompt to check its own newsroom before assuming either.
