The Firm
Five Star Breaktime Solutions, a Canteen franchise within Compass Group, runs vending, micro markets, office coffee and pantry service. It grows by buying independent operators and posts each acquisition to its own news page, naming the seller and the territory.
The sellers are the point. West Chester Vending in Ohio had been built up by its owner since 2011; the Corso routes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast came from a family distributor with decades behind it. These are one-owner businesses, which is what a searcher looking at a vending route is looking at.
So the trade has a standing buyer who moves market by market and has done this many times over. That sets what a retiring owner expects to be offered, and it gives a searcher who buys well an obvious eventual exit, which are the two things worth knowing before bidding.
Read again in September 2026: eighteen purchases the registry lacked sit between the Corso routes and West Chester, the whole ledger of a franchisee buying independents at two to five routes each, and one more in July 2026. Most bodies print no dateline, so the card date is the day unless the body prints its own.
