The top-tier electrical license a contractor needs on staff to pull permits and sign off work.

Why It Matters

The license, not the trucks or the customer list, is the scarcest asset in the deal. If it leaves with the seller and nobody on staff holds one, the company cannot legally operate the morning after closing. Find out who holds it, whether they intend to stay, and what it would take to keep them, and treat that answer as part of the price. Where the answer is nobody, the search for a master is the real closing condition.
