Why It Matters

Commercial refrigeration is governed by standards written against the date a unit was manufactured, so the same model can be sellable or not depending on when it was built. That turns aged floor stock and warehouse residue into a question instead of an asset, and the dealer is the party holding it. Ask for build dates on anything that has sat more than a year and read the last standard change against them, because the rule moves on its own schedule and the boxes on the floor do not.
