The Firm
Kenan Advantage Group hauls fuel, chemicals, food-grade liquids and dry bulk across North America, and it has been buying regional carriers steadily for more than a decade. Its own newsroom names the seller in every release, which is what makes it readable evidence rather than a logo wall.
The sellers are the point for a searcher. Evergreen Transport hauled lime, cement and fly ash across the Southeast; M.C. Tank Transport ran about a hundred and seventy-five drivers out of West Chester, Ohio; Fisher Transport moved raw milk in Nova Scotia. These are the size of business a searcher buys, and they are being bought by somebody with a terminal network to plug them into.
So a searcher looking at a tank or bulk carrier is looking at a trade with a standing buyer that has done this many times over. That sets what a retiring owner expects to be offered and gives a well-run acquisition an obvious eventual exit, which are the two facts worth knowing before bidding.
Read again in September 2026: nothing bought since Fisher Transport, whose release carries a May 2025 dateline under a June post stamp, which is the date the row keeps now. A January 2026 item is a private fleet conversion for an unnamed customer, not a purchase. The whole newsroom opened that evening added four bulk carriers from 2023 and 2024 and a Toronto brokerage bought by the logistics subsidiary, each dated by the dateline under its dotted post stamp.
