Transflo

Who They Are

A Tampa trucking software company that buys document and workflow tools and runs them under its own brand, so a seller's conversation is about its customers and its market rather than its name.

In the company's own words, Transflo is redefining the future of the transportation industry with AI-driven innovation and automation, connecting carriers, brokers, factors and shippers. Its company page publishes the scale: more than thirty years, more than $118 billion a year of freight spend, more than sixty-five thousand fleets served and more than two million active users of its Mobile+ app. It was founded in 1991 as Pegasus Imaging and is headquartered in Tampa.

Its own history marks two purchases, TripPak in 2014 and ATI in 2023, and does not mark Microdea. What it said it was buying at Microdea was Canada: its chief executive called the deal a strategic step in growing its footprint in the key Canadian supply chain sector. The combined business was to operate under the Transflo brand, so a seller should expect its own name to give way.

Search-Fund Companies They Bought

  • Microdea · 2020

Steve Divitkos bought Microdea, a Canadian document software company serving trucking, from its founders in 2014 through his search vehicle RedLeaf Management Partners, with Search Fund Partners and Endurance Search Partners among his backers, and ran it as chief executive. Transflo bought it in October 2020 to expand into the Canadian market. The release quotes Microdea's general manager and names no searcher; his own page says he sold to a strategic acquirer in 2020.
