Thompson Street Capital Partners
Who They Are
A St. Louis private equity firm buying middle-market companies at $50 million to $500 million of enterprise value, so a searcher's conversation is about the platform its company becomes after the sale.
In the company's own words, Thompson Street is a middle-market private equity firm that helps transform already-exceptional businesses into market leaders. It is based in St. Louis, invests in life sciences and healthcare, software and technology, and business and consumer services and products, and targets $50 million to $500 million of enterprise value. It says it can do recapitalizations, buyouts, corporate divestitures and take-privates, and has partnered with companies in North America, Europe and Australia.
What it said it was buying at T-Base was a trusted accessibility partner for market-leading organizations, and it partnered with management to acquire it. Its own page for the company is now headed Allyant, and its news list shows the build: T-Base bought CommonLook in 2021, Thompson Street announced Allyant in 2022, and Allyant bought Braille Works in 2026. It still lists Allyant as a current company.
