Flash
Who They Are
The Austin parking and charging software platform that bought a New York garage-software incumbent for its market, so a seller's conversation is about customers and a city rather than about code.
Flash calls itself the leader in parking and charging technology, and its vision is the world's largest parking and charging ecosystem. Its home page publishes the scale: more than seventeen thousand parking locations, more than four hundred and fifty million driver touchpoints and more than one and a half billion transactions. It was founded in 2011 as Klever Logic, took the FlashParking name in 2018 and merged with Arrive in 2021.
It is a private-equity-backed buyer and says so: its own milestones list $250 million from Vista Equity Partners in 2022, and it names Vista and L Catterton as its leading investors. What it said it was buying at Ticketech was New York, a parking market it sizes at $22 billion a year and 17.5% of US parking revenue. Its release kept Ticketech's chief executive quoted, and promised to invest in and expand the New York team.
Search-Fund Companies They Bought
- Ticketech · 2022
Diego Cuenca bought Ticketech, the New York City garage revenue-control company, through his search vehicle Kata Capital Partners in 2018, with Endurance Search Partners behind him, and ran it as chief executive. Flash bought it in April 2022 as its way into the New York parking market. His own page says he then served as Flash's senior vice president for New York. [1][2]
