ARKO Corp.
The Firm
ARKO Corp. is one of the largest operators of convenience stores and wholesalers of fuel in the United States, working from 8565 Magellan Pkwy in Richmond, Virginia across more than thirty states under twenty-five or more regional brands. It numbers its acquisitions publicly, which is unusual and useful: the Pride deal was its twenty-second since 2013.
Its buying inside this window ran hard and then stopped. Three agreements in the autumn of 2022 and three closings through mid-2023 took it past 1,530 stores, and then nothing: no acquisition announcement in 2024, 2025 or 2026, with the only related release a renegotiated final payment. A convenience store owner should read that as the trade's largest programmatic buyer sitting out, not as a market with no bid.
The companies it bought are worth reading for size. Pride ran 31 stores in the Northeast; Uncle's anchored West Texas markets with grocery, beer and fresh food; Transit Energy Group was a wholesale fuel distribution and industrial business. This is a buyer of chains rather than of single stores, which is the honest answer to whether it would look at one location.
What It Buys
Richmond, Virginia. A Fortune 500 convenience store operator in Richmond that bought its way past fifteen hundred stores in a year, then announced no new acquisition for three straight years.

Confirmed Deals
2 deals traced to announcements by ARKO Corp., 2022, newest first. Firms that announce every deal show a fuller run here than firms that report acquisitions as quarterly counts, so read this as the evidence that clears the bar rather than as the firm's whole record.
Nothing newer has cleared the bar in 44 months, against a registry whose newest confirmed deal is August 6, 2026. A gap past 12 months can mean the firm has slowed, or that it has stopped announcing; treat it as a prompt to check its own newsroom before assuming either.
