### Acquira

An accelerator for home-services acquisitions.

- Pricing model: Custom Pricing
- What it costs: Still nothing published. No price and no equity share appears on either the homepage or the accelerator page, so the figures that circulate for both remain third-party. The seller side is marketed as carrying no fee.
- Best for: Buyers set on home services who specifically want capital and a prescribed operating system attached to their training, and who have priced what that equity is worth

### Acquisition Lab

A paid program for self-funded buyers.

- Pricing model: One-Time
- What it costs: $12,500 USD one-time for lifetime access (vendor pricing page, July 2026), stated inclusions: a year of IBISWorld Premium, 500+ broker lists, complimentary LLC formation, 80+ tools and templates, daily advisor access. No discounts or financing ("We don't have flexibility on pricing"; fee may be lender-reimbursable at closing); 30-day money-back window, non-refundable after.
- Best for: Well-capitalized, committed self-funded searchers targeting SBA-sized deals (the Lab's average member acquisition is $2.4M with $678k earnings, squarely the $500k–$5M range) who will actually use daily advisor office hours and live deal reviews and can commit 7–10 hours/week. Not for budget-constrained or exploratory buyers, who should read Buy Then Build and use free communities first.

### Contrarian Thinking

Codie Sanchez's media and training on buying SMBs.

- Pricing model: Freemium
- What it costs: Still mostly unpublished. The only figure on the vendor's own pages is in the beginner course's FAQ, which prices it at $2,000 and credits the same amount against the Academy; the Academy itself is apply-to-join with no price anywhere, and the owner program publishes none either.
- Best for: Getting motivated about the category and absorbing the deal-hunting mindset for free, with a clear head about where the funnel is taking you

### IESE International Search Fund Center

European search fund research and data.

- Pricing model: Free
- What it costs: Research reports download free, with the 2020 and earlier editions as direct PDFs; the 2024 edition sits behind an invitation form since a September 2026 read. The biennial Barcelona conference and electives are priced separately, and the 7th conference (October 15 and 16, 2026) is at full capacity with applications closed, by its own page.
- Best for: Anyone considering a search outside North America, and US searchers who want a rigorous dataset on how the model performs outside North America

- Full review: https://searchspheresource.com/resources/iese-search-fund-center

### LatAm Search Fund Primer

The Latin American numbers nobody else counts.

- Pricing model: Free
- What it costs: Free, and published as a full web page rather than a gated download, so every figure is readable without an email address.
- Best for: A searcher or investor working in Latin America who needs regional numbers rather than United States ones
- Website: https://spectrainvest.com/estudo/latam-search-fund-primer-2/
- Full review: https://searchspheresource.com/resources/latam-search-fund-primer

### Permanent Equity (Free Library)

Essays and letters from a 30-year-hold firm.

- Pricing model: Free
- What it costs: The letters, essays, and audio are free on the site; the firm's Capital Camp conference and the book are priced separately.
- Best for: Buyers who want to think like a long-hold owner rather than a flipper, and sellers trying to understand how thoughtful buyers actually evaluate them

- Full review: https://searchspheresource.com/resources/permanent-equity

### Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)

Free consulting from nearly 1,000 centers.

- Pricing model: Free
- What it costs: Advising is free and confidential; some training programs carry modest fees. The network's own words are no-cost business consulting and low-cost business training (americassbdc.org, September 2026).
- Best for: Free, confidential help assembling the machinery around a purchase: financial projections, the loan package, and market research, from advisors who work with SBA lenders constantly

### SMBootcamp

Operator-taught training for buying a business.

- Pricing model: One-Time
- What it costs: Published on its programs page: DIY Essentials at $447 for the self-paced course, and LIVE at $4,500 for the three-day in-person training, with dates named (October 21 to 23, 2026 in Denver; December 2 to 4, 2026 in Tampa). The blog and newsletter are free.
- Best for: First-time buyers who want a tactical, do-the-work curriculum on finding, financing, and closing a small business
- Website: https://www.smbootcamp.co/
- Full review: https://searchspheresource.com/resources/smbootcamp

### Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC)

Free consulting and training for veterans.

- Pricing model: Free
- What it costs: SBA states 31 participating organizations and its own directory lists 29 with a coverage line. Note what the page no longer says: the word free appears for the women's centers on the same page and not for these, so treat any no-cost claim as needing the center's own confirmation.
- Best for: Veteran and military-spouse buyers who want free counseling plus a guide into the SBA ecosystem, including the fee relief and programs that specifically favor veteran borrowers
