# Recurring commercial route

A term used when buying window cleaning.

Commercial accounts cleaned on a monthly retainer, not one-off residential jobs.

Recurring commercial routes are low-churn, predictable, and densely stopped, which is why their share is the biggest single driver of the multiple. Ask for the retainer list with start dates and cancellation history, and check who signed each one. A route built on a property manager's relationship with the owner is worth less than one built on the buildings themselves, and only the second survives the sale.
