# Plant health care (PHC)

A term used when buying tree service.

Tree and shrub care sold as an ongoing yearly plan, not one job at a time.

This is the recurring, weather-independent half of a tree business, which is exactly what a buyer pays a premium for, because removals arrive with storms and nobody can schedule those. Ask what share of customers are on a plan with a date, versus called when something looks wrong, and check the renewal rate. A program that has to be re-sold every spring is closer to a marketing list than to recurring revenue.
