A term used when buying tire shop.

The share of tire sales that also book an alignment, the add-on a new set of tires invites.

It is the cleanest read on whether a shop is capturing service revenue or simply moving commodity tires, which makes it a fast proxy for how well the counter sells. Check the equipment while you ask: a shop without a working alignment rack cannot attach anything, and the machine is a real capital item. Where the rack exists and the rate is low, the gap is training, and that is the cheapest fix available.
