# Perpetual enrollment

A term used when buying swim school.

Weekly lessons billed monthly with no session end, the swim trade's billing standard.

Modern swim schools abandoned the eight-week session for perpetual enrollment: a child holds a standing weekly slot, billing runs monthly until the family quits, and the book behaves like a subscription with toddler-to-swimmer lifetimes measured in years. Read the enrollment model first, because a session-based school re-sells its entire book several times a year while a perpetual book compounds, and the difference is worth real turns of multiple in an otherwise identical facility.
