# Managed route

A term used when buying septic service.

Accounts pumped on a schedule instead of when a customer thinks to call.

A managed route turns reactive demand into contracted revenue, and buyers pay materially more for it than for a business that waits for the phone to ring. Ask how many accounts are genuinely on a schedule with a date in the system, as opposed to customers who tend to call every few years. The second group is a mailing list; only the first is the recurring base a lender or a later buyer will credit.
