# Categorical risk level

A term used when buying medical transport.

The screening tier, limited or moderate or high, a state assigns an enrolling provider.

Federal guidance puts transport at limited unless the state raises it to moderate or high, and high risk means fingerprints and a criminal background check for everyone holding five percent or more, plus a site visit.
