# Booth rental

A term used when buying hair salon.

A model where stylists rent chairs monthly and keep their own clients and pricing.

A booth-rental salon is a small landlord: its revenue is chair rent, its tenants are stylists who own their books, and its value tracks occupancy rather than service quality. That model prices materially below a commission shop because nothing binds the clientele to the business. Read which model the target actually runs, because listings blur it, and a shop described by its revenue may be describing money that belongs to the chairs.
