## The Firm

Hub Group was founded in 1971, employs nearly six thousand people and drivers, and turns over more than four billion dollars a year from Oak Brook, Illinois. It sells transportation and logistics management rather than any single mode, which is why its purchases cross from final mile delivery into fulfillment and temperature-controlled intermodal.

The December 2023 purchase of Forward Air Final Mile is the one that matters to a courier owner. It bought a residential final mile delivery and installation business focused on big and bulky goods, appliances above all, out of a listed carrier: proof that the delivery businesses changing hands at this level are operating companies with crews and trucks, not contracts reassigned.

Read again in September 2026: it closed on a West Coast final mile provider, SITH, in September 2025, inside the release that closed an intermodal purchase. Nothing has been bought since, and the newsroom from May 2026 on is delayed filings, a restatement, two exchange deficiency notices and, on September 17, an expected delisting determination, which a seller should read before spending a month on a conversation. The whole newsroom opened that evening moved the final mile row to the September 8 effective day its release prints and added the intermodal purchase closed in the same release. A Mexican joint venture is not a purchase, and the firm is restating its financials under Nasdaq notices as of September 2026.
