## The Firm

GEE Group is a publicly traded staffing company working from Jacksonville, and it announces its acquisitions on its own investor newsroom with the effective date printed in the body. Because it is listed, the same transactions are reachable through its filings, which is a second primary source most buyers in this trade do not offer.

Staffing coverage on this shelf had rested on firms that invest rather than operate. A strategic that buys a regional staffing company and keeps it running is a different animal across a table: it competes for the deal and it is also a plausible exit, which is the half a shelf of funds leaves out.

It publishes no size band and its releases state that terms were not disclosed, so the range has to be established in conversation. One thing to know before starting one: a listed buyer's own circumstances change in public, and its appetite can move with them.

A staffing owner meeting this firm now is meeting a seller. The whole release list opened that evening holds one purchase, effective January 3, 2025 by its own release, which the row carries now.
