# Fort Point Capital

Boston, Massachusetts. Service businesses, including the unglamorous infrastructure trades. Its sewer platform buys plumbing companies outright rather than waiting for them to list.

## The Firm

Fort Point Capital, founded in 2010 and based in Boston's Back Bay, has raised over $625 million across three funds and invested in more than sixty companies, targeting service businesses up to $125 million of enterprise value with up to $50 million of equity. Its stated screen is four traits: strong management, fierce customer loyalty, high margins, stable earnings.

The firm publishes its operating results as a pitch, with portfolio companies averaging 111 percent revenue growth and 87 percent EBITDA growth over its hold, and an average of two and a half add-ons each. Its motto is that it does not just pick winners, it helps build them. The add-on engine is what a searcher sees on the ground: its VisuSewer platform buys plumbing and sewer companies outright, one Chicago-area operator at a time.

For a plumbing or field-services searcher, Fort Point is the reason a good local company gets a call before it ever lists: route-based and field services are named lanes in its strategy. Anyone meeting the firm should carry the four-trait screen and the build-not-pick language, and understand that its platforms, not the fund itself, are usually the counterparty an owner actually meets.

Read again in September 2026: the plumbing claim rests on one sewer platform, which bought two more, an Ohio inspection company and a Pennsylvania wastewater contractor. The firm's other platforms bought in retail technology, vacation rentals and fulfillment, and its newest platform investment is a recapitalization, not a purchase.

## Confirmed Deals

Deals traced to announcements, newest first. Firms that announce every deal show a fuller run here than firms that report acquisitions as quarterly counts, so read this as the evidence that clears the bar rather than as the firm's whole record.
