## Who They Are

RedSail says it was founded by bringing together the most innovative leaders in pharmacy technology, and its mission is to build the most clinically advanced and financially sustainable pharmacy network. It publishes its scale: more than twelve thousand pharmacies serving more than ten million patients a month, through brands including PioneerRx, BestRx, PrimeRx, QS/1 and Emporos. Its oldest brand dates to 1977, and Francisco Partners bought the business in April 2020 and renamed it RedSail.

Its own timeline doubles as a purchase record: it acquired PioneerRx in December 2020, BestRx in February 2024 and PrimeRx in February 2026, and added RxMile in November 2025. The Emporos release was headlined as the purchase that would drive the launch of RedSail Pay, and the timeline marks that month with the product rather than the deal. A seller should expect to be bought for a capability RedSail can sell to pharmacies it already serves, with the brand kept inside the family.

### Emporos (2025)

Eric Kristensen raised Elk Capital Partners, with Endurance Search Partners and Anacapa among his backers, and used it to buy Emporos, a Charlotte maker of point-of-sale and payments software for pharmacies, which he ran as chief executive. RedSail Technologies bought it in March 2025 to launch its own merchant services product, quoting him as chief executive in the announcement.
